VoIP is becoming more and more popular on
mobile devices with the ability to connect via
Wi-Fi. My favorite Phone Edition device brand,
i-mate, announced a deal with
Skype in which its wireless devices will now come preloaded with the Skype VoIP software. The PDA2k and JAM handhelds will now be sold with the software installed, and future devices will also include the software. The official press briefing and releases will come next week at the 3GSM World Congress event. I have not tried Skype or any other VoIP software from my mobile devices yet, but need to get hooked up.
